Shenzhen Office Intern - British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong 广东英国商会British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong 广东英国商会 The British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong (BritCham GD) is an independent international organisation in China, helping members with business development through events, networking, introductions and referrals in response to the rapidly growing business links between the UK and Guangdong province. Established in 1996, BritCham Guangdong is one of the most active and influential chambers in the Greater Bay Area and has offices in both Guangzhou and Shenzhen with the ability to serve our members across the Grater Bay Area.
The Chamber helps over 200 member companies from succeed in the South China market. Our membership network is comprised of companies operating in a wide range of sectors and industries, including Education and training, Hospitality, Finance, Hi-Tech, Manufacturing, Real estate, Business consultancy and etc. Our membership programme helps companies to network with the experienced, develop strategies for expansion and gain market access. Superior: Shenzhen office Manager Location: Building C, Galaxy World, Longhua District Shenzhen Allowance: 1,000 RMB/month Working Hours: 09:30-18:30, 3 working days/week for 6 months at least(Part-time) Commencing Date: As soon as possible
The Role of Office Intern
The Intern shall be mainly responsible for supporting the Shenzhen office with administration, membership, marketing and event responsibilities, reporting to the BCCGD's Shenzhen office Manager.
The Intern's duties shall include the following: 1. Prepare Monthly membership renewal, Prepare Membership Package 2. Researching and input Potential Members into database through Directories, Event Attendees and Online Research,update Membership Database 3. Arrange Meetings with Member for the Manager 4. Researching UK companies in Guangdong /GBA Area 5. Contacting companies to promote BCC training & workshops 6. Assisting with Marketing promotion & Event organization 7. Maintain Shenzhen office administration and necessary paper work 8. Supporting the Guangzhou team when required
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate should possess excellent written and spoken English language skills and should ideally possess the following: 1. Have at least 1 years working experience 2. Have a good overall knowledge of business and industry in Southern China 3. Marketing or sales experience 4. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Photoshop and website knowledge 5. Be able to work independently 6. Be self-motivated, sociable and possess the confidence to deal with business people 7. Be enthusiastic and outgoing, with an excellent phone and face to face manner8. Be well organized and systematic, and be willing to share a workload that does not fall directly under their job description. Preferred: Bring his/her own laptop to work
