Job description Manage the School library, to manage, develop and promote the library within MIS In order to ensure that an effective resource and information service is provided to the MIS community.
Responsibilities 1. Perform library procedures, such as checking in and checking out materials, registering students. 2. Manage the library with reference questions and direct students to suitable resources. 3. Manage Purchasing supplies. 4. Maintain library records. 5. Manage the receiving of shipments to the library. 6. Manage library materials. 7. Create high standard library programmes and displays which support the needs of the school community and promote the library as a safe place for study and leisure. 8. Liaises with parent helpers, training library volunteers and student library prefects. 9. Manage students with mechanical operations of library equipment. 10. Promote and foster reading. 11. Demonstrate collegiality. 12. Participate in continuing professional development. 13. Perform any other duties as may be required by the Head of School, for the benefit of the school.
