IP Paralegal - Gowling WLG (UK) LLP Guangzhou Representative Office Ó¢¹ú¸ßÁÖóÂÉʦÊÂÎñËùפ¹ãÖÝ´ú±í´¦Job Title: IP Paralegal Grade: Graduate student, or 1-2 year experiences Department: IP Team, Guangzhou Reporting to: IP Director and IP Team generally Gowling WLG is an international law firm providing a full service to clients worldwide. Its broad client base spans everything from listed companies to SMEs and multi-national corporations to financial institutions and hundreds of public sector organisations. Main purpose of the role: To assist our team of IP lawyers in a wide spectrum of contentious and non-contentious IP strategies in China - principally patent, trade mark and copyright enforcement strategies, with focus on internet monitoring and take downs. The Team and your role: Operating as part of the team, the China office's IP team advises across the full spectrum of IP advice. The team is cohesive, supportive and both with clients and team members highly responsive and focused on obtaining the best outcome.
The team's spread of work is broad (including patent, trade mark and copyright litigation and enforcement and the team has proven that it has the sectoral and international expertise to attract work of the highest quality. ¡¤ Key sectors for the team are advanced engineering, health and life sciences, technology and manufacturing. ¡¤ Internationally the team works closely with the UK and Canadian offices as well as other international offices. The team members being regular visitors to each jurisdiction. The business of the team is growing and we are looking for graduate students with great potential to join us and assist us in delivering the very best client experience. You will work with the director/partners and senior associates across the range of IP work-types and you will have the opportunity to develop your own business development initiatives and improve your professional skills. Key Skills and Experience: Legal background with good English or English major with legal basis (commensurate with experience)with an appetite for excellent client service and a desire to be the best they can be.
