Adam McRoy is an international education leader with over twenty years of experience in China, where he has built a distinguished career in school leadership, educational innovation, and international collaboration.

He is currently Headmaster of Cogdel Cranleigh School, a leading international bilingual school in Changsha. Under his leadership, the school has experienced rapid growth and achieved outstanding academic results, including being named Best New School at the 2024 China Schools Awards. In 2026, he was shortlisted for Headteacher of the Year at the Tes International School Awards, widely regarded as the “Oscars of education”, recognising excellence in global educational leadership.

Adam has a strong commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and sustainability, which have been central themes throughout his leadership work. He has previously contributed to British Chamber of Commerce initiatives in China in these areas, including leading and supporting the Mindful March wellbeing campaign, which promotes mental health awareness and staff wellbeing across international schools.

As Vice Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce Education Working Group in South China, he will continue to champion wellbeing, sustainability, and innovation in education, supporting initiatives that connect and strengthen the international school community across the region.
