Christy Leung is the Membership Services Manager at the British Chamber of Commerce South China, enhancing the Chamber to become the most business-savvy Chamber in China with a mission to help members “join the dots”, to connect, share and promote – enabling ultimate business rewards. She is leading the “Ask an Expert” series, technology focus group, marketing focus group, HR focus group, China Outbound focus group, Women Leadership focus group to drive dialogue for members to discuss local challenges and forward looking.
Christy Leung is a multipotentialite – she devotes herself into 9 different NPOs as a community builder and career mentor in her spare time for more than 15 years. As an Outgoing Curator at Global Shapers Community Guangzhou Hub, Christy initiated projects like ‘We Shape’ and ‘Zero-Carbon Campuses’, which address employment and environmental challenges respectively, as well as leading the hub operation to recruit new bloods while keeping hub members engaged, and making efforts in driving dialogue, action, and change globally. She has been recognized for efforts in driving dialogue, action, and change globally with primary interests are women development, STEM, sustainability, social impact, and innovation as well as focuses on protecting the planet, reskill for the future and strengthen civic engagement. She was selected as one of the 50 young shaper representatives to attend the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champion 2023 (Summer Davos), World Economic Forum Global Shapers Annual Summit 2023, Global Shapers Community SHAPE APAC 2023 & 2025.
She is also a Co-Chapter Director at freeCodeCamp Guangzhou, a Chapter Director at She Rewires Guangzhou, and a LinkedIn Mentor. Previously, Christy was also a New Media VP at Lean In Guangzhou and a Mentor at World Academy for the Future of Women. As a team leader, Christy won the 3rd prize at the U&AI Competition 2022 hosted by UNDP. She was invited as a guest speaker by the UNDP Movers Programme before. As an educational influencer, Christy creates bilingual educational content for a global audience aiming to bridge the gap of information and cultural understanding.
