Kirsty is an experienced educator and school leader with a career spanning three decades. After earning a degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry, she completed her PGCE at the University of Nottingham in 1995, embarking on a journey that has taken her through a diverse range of educational settings in both state and independent schools across the UK.

In 2017, Kirsty transitioned into international education, teaching at prestigious British schools in Malaysia, Hong Kong and now China. She has taught students aged 11-18 in co-educational boarding schools, specialising in Science at KS3 and Chemistry at GCSE and A Level. Her leadership roles have included Head of Department, Pastoral Leader, Housemistress and Head of Boarding where she developed a strong expertise in student welfare, academic excellence and holistic education.

Currently, Kirsty serves as Deputy Head Whole School at Harrow Hengqin, where she leads pastoral care, boarding and safeguarding. She oversees student well-being, manages the Houses, develops the holistic curriculum and collaborates with non-academic departments to ensure the smooth operation of the school. Her leadership in boarding and pastoral care has been widely recognised, making Harrow Hengqin’s provision a standout feature of the school.

Beyond her professional life, Kirsty is an avid traveller who has explored every country in Southeast Asia. She is also a skilled cake decorator, having run her own business specialising in bespoke celebration cakes. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and socialising with friends.
