Lena Gidwani

A self-described “fourth culture child,” Lena Gidwani brings more than 20 years of experience across multiple facets of education. Originally from Singapore, Lena has lived in several countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, the US, and Australia, before making Guangzhou her home in 2002.

A lifelong learner, Lena holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Technology Sydney, a Master’s degree in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Southern Queensland, a Diploma in Early Years Education, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education from the University of Sunderland. She has also completed the Certificate in School Management and Leadership (CSML) through Harvard University, earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and obtained a Certificate in College Advising from Columbia University.

Lena currently serves as the Director of Community and Communications at the Canadian International School of Guangzhou (CIS). In this role, she develops strategic initiatives, fosters meaningful communication, strengthens brand identity both online and offline, and builds strong relationships through engagement, networking, and marketing.

She is delighted to join the British Chamber of Commerce Education Working Group and looks forward to collaborating with fellow members to share expertise, contribute meaningful insights, and create a positive impact within the education sector.

Lena is married to a native of Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles) and is the proud parent of a 16-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter.
